Wallow is the culmination of a childhood dream, which began when my great friend Jocey and I used to meet in Stitches and Daughters, in South East London and talk about owning such a beautiful shop one day.
School and university; acting; love and travels; Camden and The Hawley Arms; and babies all altered my ambitions until serendipity led us to a house my Granny had owned and where I had spent much of my childhood, and to a shop that is now Wallow. And Jocey was there helping me in the days before we opened.
Wallow is a place to indulge yourself and others, with carefully sourced, beautiful things: jewellery, organic bath products, home accessories, baby presents, childrens’ toys and much more besides. Some of the brands are companies that I have admired for a long time, others are newly discovered: all are design-led, ethically sound, with a passion for what they produce. I am really happy to now be bringing Wallow online.
I have long admired the French way of shopping - old-style boutiques there wrap everything, and when you get home you have the thrill of your purchase all over again, unwrapping the tissue and rediscovering what you bought. Online shopping can lose that excitement, but at Wallow, receiving your order should be like receiving a present (even if you know what you’re getting!) If you are buying a present for someone else, I can send it directly to them with a handwritten gift card, saving you time, wrapping and postage.
I will be adding more, so do check back and please sign up to my mailing list if you like what you see.
